Altone Productions is the Jamaican home-grown organic music house for Alrick 'Sticky2' Thompson. Alrick came up with the company name of Altone Productions after a Marley Music studio session with his good friend, Julian Marley, at 56 Hope Road. Julian loved a particular guitar tone Alrick had given him while recording his Lion in the Morning album in 1996. So from the nickname 'Al' (short for Alrick) and 'Tone' for the frequency that was found that night, Altone Productions was born! Alrick has kept that name alive since then and now it is the name of his personal Production House. Altone Production offers Studio Engineering, Music Production and Tour Management services.
Alrick is the son of one of Jamaica and Reggae's most renown percussionists, Uzziah 'Sticky' Thompson, so music is definitely in his blood. He is also one of Jamaica's young musical engineers that has taken the music industry by storm. He has worked on some big albums like Damian Marley's Half Way Tree and Bob Marley's Chant Down Babylon albums. Alrick has toured the world and made music for many up and coming artists as well as many well known artists. With his vigorous and energetic mind he continues to make music to spread love around the world.
On most days, Alrick can be found working in the studios mixing albums, or out at shows or events as a Tour Manager or live show Producer. Recently Alrick has been in the studio working on new albums with Steel Pulse and also with Peetah Morgan and Meta and the Cornerstones. He is also currently working on a new album for Joseph Israel.
